Bifacially flaked sickle blade

Description

This ‘all in one’ blade for a reaping knife or sickle was one of the most important stone tools of the Neolithic Revolution. Often displaying finely serrated or micro-denticulated cutting edges, this tool sawed at great speed through the stems of grain crops.
